Each scene, performed in shadow, depicts an Old Testament character looking forward to the coming of the Messiah.

The entire congregation is divided into Israelites & Egyptians. They endure the plagues - frogs, hail, boils, etc. The Nile river turns to blood! The Red Sea parts! What an experience!!
